Look, I get that a lot of the time people find things floating around on the web without any credit. That’s probably how this ended up being re-posted without any kind of indication that I made it (other than the tiny signature). It’s just that it’s pretty easy to find or link to the original post on Tumblr, y’know. Anyway, please don’t do that stuff, if you can help it.
I feel a twinge of annoyance when anyone says asexuality isn’t real, even though I know it’s not their fault they don’t know. There aren’t many of us and so it’s not that likely they’ve encountered it personally and that tends to be how people hear about these sorts of things. But I do still get bothered by it because I feel like the fact that they ask/say that that they think I’m just joking. And I’m not.
